If you’ve never tried Hellebore I highly recommend it. It exists at this nexus of really interesting folklore writing and absolutely amazing design all I one magazine.

Out of the most recent folk horror releases, this one is probably my favourite. 1970s Wales, a fairy ring, a creepy child and a descent to madness, all wrapped in layers of eerie sounds. Seek it out.

Druid’s Temple, Yorkshire, a folly built in 1820 under the orders of scholar William Danby. Local lore says those who try to spend the night at the temple will be driven out before daybreak. #StandingStoneSunday

Keeping cool by rewatching MOONDIAL (1988). On a trip to Belton House, Minty becomes fascinated by an intriguing moondial that takes her back in time. The series was featured in our Yuletide Hauntings 2024, among other stories of uncanny children.

The stone circle of Tregeseal, in Cornwall, is associated with the fairy folk. Legend has it that two miners once saw the nearby Carn Kenidjack glowing and found a group of demons wrestling in a match presided over by the Devil. #StandingStoneSunday #OccultBritain
