I hope one day ALL indoor shared-air air standards will include: HEPA filtration for airborne pathogens CO2 monitoring for healthy "mix" UV-C to help combat airborne pathogens Adequate outdoor air ventilation and "rate of exchange" to adequately replenish clean air in occupied rooms.

Yet another example of why we need masks in healthcare, and especially in emergency rooms. You never know what you’re going to see. Bubonic plague is life threatening and I sincerely hope no one else in the ER was infected.

I wear a N95 respirator daily and run 2x HEPA air filtration machines (I think I may add a third this year.) My students likewise draw me masked because they so rarely see me unmasked (outdoor during Earth Science hike time). Been fully masked indoors at all times since 2020. 🤘you rock metal horns!

At Kerrisdale today, they were sending those of us with mobility aids to an alternate entrance with multiple stairs (!!!) My friend with invisible chronic health challenges wasn't offered the opportunity to use the priority access line.

Britain and Germany have now issued travel warnings about travel to the United States. Politicians in Canada are now pressing the Cdn Govt. to do the same. Stories like those of Jasmine Mooney will just make people really think hard about travel the the US. She acknowledges where she went wrong.
