I've thought on this for almost 3 years now, and all I can come up with is that doctors aren't to blame anything on Covid. I strongly believe that both our governments have directed them this way. How can anyone believe there's no long-term damage from Covid infections?

Someone posted in the Calgary subReddit about a “mystery illness” her family has been fighting for 6 weeks. Last I checked, there were 200+ commenters identifying it as covid, & sharing stories of how they had Covid recently too. In 6 years, I’ve never seen anything like it.

I’ve always had trouble communicating with doctors and it’s only got worse since I’ve been wearing a respie (April 2020). Most think I’m anxious, hysterical or anti-vax. I intend to use some of these strategies at my next appointment.

You never see the question asked the other way around - why would you NOT wear a mask on public transport where you don't know anyone? That's because the only two possible answers are "I'm too worried about what other people might think", or, "I don't like thinking about COVID", & both are pathetic.

This is why we are never going to 'get through' to friends and family about COVID danger. The problem is that either we are anxious and irrationally afraid to live a normal life - or they are willing to sacrifice the health of their children / grandchildren to avoid facing reality
