Had much fun embellishing my questionable artistic ‘talents’ while making floor plans for #Grogmeet using lovely shrubbery from this joyful little house move loft discovery - unbelievably, from 1982 😳.

Back to 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 after another brilliant #Grogmeet 😊. Had some great players (and just enough ☠️ stamp action 😂) in my #DCC funnel, played Dee Sanction, SW Age of Rebellion, WFRP and Vaesen and had a blast at all of them. Thanks to the fantastic GMs and players. Is there a better con anywhere?

Great day at #BrickHouseSocial for #Grogmeet running #DeeSanction in the morning—collecting a two-headed calf from Smyth Field market—and #BRP in the afternoon—following independent contractors sent to a gas refinery in a deteriorating orbit around Saturn, based on White Dwarf classic Sky Rig.

Can’t believe I missed this brilliant series bitd (2004!) by two of my real favourites @grantmorrison.bsky.social and Frank Quitely. Gorgeous and innovative art with a story that’s novel and exciting and emotional and disturbing *all at the same time*. Grab the new DC compact edition (it’s a steal).

Slightly horrified by the weird additives on the ingredients list of the usual supermarket versions, this year I made a Yule log for the first time using @nigella.bsky.social’s recipe - turned out out a bit like a Yule catapult or snake catcher 😂. But by gum it’s tasty 🪵 🎄 😊

Mulled cider & pints of mild to ward off the dark winter after yesterday’s #DCC game in Manchester. Harley Stroh’s Blades against Death is inventive & excellent, but as deadly as the title suggests, with the party (just) surviving the Charnel Pits of Punjar (including a very near TPK). Huge fun!⚔️☠️🔥

Couldn’t resist second breakfast at Idle Hands in Manchester, even though I’m en route to a Christmas lunch at 12.30 😂. Mince pie cheesecake (the ‘lightest’ option 😁) and their current batch filter coffee amazing as always ☕️

Yesterday’s #DCC saw a daring temple escape (‘walk like a cultist’), innovative use of a faecal prod, nuns on the run, thieves guild meddling (& a ransacked reliquary), a waif with a wretched tale, effluvia, a spectral scrivener with a penchant for human teeth, charnel pits & phantom skeletal hands…

Well, #Predator Badlands is a mighty fine thing, no? Haven’t had that much fun in the cinema for some time 😁. Inventive action and an interesting spin on both Predators and synths. I’d put it on a par with Prey.

Pleased to report The #Witcher season 4 is a fun watch, even sans Cavill. The plot is daft, but Hemsworth does a good job, there are great action set pieces and some real emotional heart. If you enjoyed the first 3 seasons, you’ll most likely enjoy this one too. If you didn’t, you most likely won’t!
