Currently reading A Thousand Years of London Bridge, which is quite good; The Masters of Revels, about the reorganisation of court entertainment during the 16th century; and an early 90s edition of Rough Guide to Sweden. Also, finished Killer's Island, Nordic Noir that didn't work for me.

I can tell that a gaming event is coming up. Despite absolute certainty that I prepped all the characters, handouts, and notes this past weekend, my brain keeps piping up with concerns about the depth and breadth of prep and whether I've done enough. This usually leads to massive overprep. Sigh.

When I scribbled out the first draft of Cörk Børd, I took a similar approach to Black Hack and Cthulhu Hack. If there's a section on X in Mörk Borg, create it for CB. Then, on a second pass, do I need that? If not, delete (or hide the page). If yes, are you sure? Or is it a maybe? Maybe... (1/4)

It's cold outside, so I'm firmly inside, wrapped up warm, tweaking the finer details of the playtest character sheet for Cörk Børd. And messing around with a few elements of the Beneath Gotland's Skin adventure, also for the playtesting. Always be iterating.

Working on tightening the boundaries and ensuring I have all I need to run playtests. Not nearly ready to provide the final toolbox I plan to publish, but sufficient to check if what exists is watertight. You'll have it when I'm comfortable. That's a tough gauge to measure... #CörkBørd

Looks good. Immediately gives me vibes that I need to ignore as I don't need to be hammering out a random Sanction Genre Setup 😂 I don't play many games, but this sort of thing I would definitely enjoy pottering around with. I'm also a big fan of the wider sandbox in GTA.

I have the #BRP lite characters sorted for my Sky Rig game at #Grogmeet Lanyard and tabletop/standee versions, which features picture on one side and Hit Points/Fatigue on the other. #BRUGE #TTRPG

The idea here is to emulate Traveller. The Book 1 skill selection runs pretty short; shorter still if you drop the somewhat unnecessary social skill repetitions. Paul Fricker does a fine job in Rivers of London of hacking the skill options back to a core of general and expert types. 4/3 #BRP

Recent discussion on various forms of TTRPG play have me baffled, because I've always felt this was pretty simple. Trad play is typified by playing which values Story as a goal, but uses mainly non Story facing mechanics which simulate the game world rather than directly addressing story elements.
