Nonsense. No one is fleeing from a country with a poverty level UBI that only requires a 10% increase in taxes on the top 10%, where the UBI would stimulate the economy, create new jobs and businesses thanks to lots of new customers, reduce crime, improve health, and improve overall well-being.

Regarding Prime Minister Carney’s federal budget: I don’t pretend to fully know it, and there are elements that concern me, but if I were the NDP I’d pledge to support it if a significant investment in urban public transit (nation-building, climate etc) was added, and if I were PM Carney I’d agree.

The blueprint for winning big on climate also came out last night. No more technocratic, policy wonk approaches. People showed they care about utility bills, free buses, affordable housing, etc. These are all climate issues. Talk about climate in terms people understand and experience.

Last night the Housing Ends Homelessness Act (Bill 28) was debated at Queens Park. The Bill sought a provincial strategy to coordinate and activate solutions to end homelessness within 10yrs. PC MPPs spoke against the Bill and is expected to die today in a formal vote. cc: @ericwickham.ca
