This morning I woke up wondering if writing was an absolute waste of my time when there's so much work to do helping people and making the world a better place. And then I got a text from a friend telling me I had a novel on the Stoker long list. It's a really complicated & weird time to be alive.

Autogas Ferryman runs on the saying of อย่าเปลืองตัว (ya pluang tua) which literally means “don’t squander your life/wellbeing”. It's wasteful martyrdom to do the right thing which is ultimately insignificant against the grinding machine of an entrenched system. Take care of yourself out there.

Received final edits on the novel from my editor at Putnam--mostly light comments, paring back, and line edits. All major structural changes were accepted--which is such a relief as it was such a weird first draft God willing, A DARK AND NARROW HOUSE should be in your hands in spring of 2027!
