Well, their country was founded on white supremacist genocide and slavery, despite the buttercream icing, so there's that.

You were nice to him again, so he's taken back his threat to burn down the house and kill the kids. For a minute you think "he's back to normal, everything is going to be all right". But you know this is a lie you tell yourself. Next time he might actually do it.

If you feel like you've been psychologically abused - you have. Imagine how much worse that is for the people of Iran and the wider gulf region. Draw a deep breath if you like, it won't stop. The lulls between attacks are part of the abusive pattern.

I predicted someone like Trump many years ago, in THE DEAD ZONE. So now I'm saying this--in the next 12-16 months, we're going to find out if the two machines for the removal of a man unable to fulfill his duties actually work. They are impeachment and the 25th amendment. He is deeply unwell .

I'm here because my Jewish grandparents escaped the Holocaust. Many of our family were not so fortunate. NEVER AGAIN is supposed to include Iranians. And Palestinians. And Ukrainians. And on and on. There are no exceptions based on religion or country of origin.

I have a father and mother in law in Iran. I have a sister in law. A niece. She's 14. She likes silly pink headbands and purses and dresses, just like kids her age all over the world. There are 93 million people like her in Iran. People who do all the normal mundane life things as the rest of us.

Starmer should immediately & unequivocally ban access to British airspace to US warplanes. The UK should not be accomplice to a US President who is threatening more war crimes. Period.

Atrocity was pretty much the inevitable result of electing Trump. It is the nightmare nuclear scenario: that these weapons would fall into the hands of a madman who neither understands nor cares about the taboo on using them. This is the corner humanity was always going to box itself into.

Trump may not carry out the threat. But the fact he even made such a threat means he should immediately be removed from office. For that is the purpose of a constitution with checks and balances.

This is the most horrifying, psychotic, grotesque message Trump has ever posted—openly threatening to commit genocide. This is beyond reckless. It’s dangerous, dehumanizing, and utterly unfit for any leader.

In all seriousness, one thing that might be worth doing today: Tell your Reps and Senators to call Adm. Richard Correll, the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command, which controls the nation's nukes, and remind him of *his* unique responsibility to refuse an illegal order.

I'm imagining a sci fi scenario where things go strategic by Wednesday as four astronauts aboard the Artemis II watch, helplessly, the human species self-terminate from their vantage point of 250,000 miles up. What would they do then? What could they?

Trump's threat against bridges in Iran made my stomach feel like I was plummeting down a lift shaft and then I realised why: it's because the target of the Hiroshima nuclear detonation was a bridge: Aioi Bridge in central Hiroshima. It's time for me to go outside, spend some time in my garden.

Talk of US defeat in Iran is dangerous because Trump absolutely would use a nuclear weapon to save face. Here is the precise risk of electing a malignant narcissist to the role of Commander in Chief. Everything is personal. So his pathology becomes that of the state.

This is why the 25th Amendment exists. This is the purpose of having the 25th Amendment. To not use this power to remove the president is not a passive act, a mere option: it is a positive decision to misuse the constitution.

The only sliver of pleasure I get from the Trump regime is the deep schadenfreude that results from watching his loyalists get kicked to the curb, as they all do, eventually. I hope they all feel the desolation of having sold their souls to the smirking orange devil. There can be no redemption.
