Without spoiling too much of Supergirl’s Family Vacation let me just say that the villain reveal was most pleasing to me as it is one of my favorite DC villains reworked in a way that had never occurred to me but came out so well.

I can’t believe The Magnificast has been going for almost ten years, but Matt & Dean’s show and the writers/theorists/theologians featured on it have really been transformational for me. Really looking forward to this one.

Okay well this line is not really what I was hoping for but the X-Men book at least is very relevant to my interests.

Realizing that I never actually finished Sex Criminals so I should do that before the show comes out.

This conversation is INDISPENSABLE for anyone with even a passing interest in the MoS / Triangle eras of Superman. I don’t even know where to start, but I’ll say that Ordway’s focus on and interest in *people* really came through in those books and was hugely impactful on me as a kid.

Always good when you can give your comic relief genuine pathos.

I like this WSJ “China is bad, actually” article that frets about decreased funding for education in favor of “millions of dollars” for the military. Gee whiz I would hate it if funding for public education ran dry in favor of bloated military budgets - glad we don’t have to worry about that here!

I don’t necessarily hate the whole Bruce Jones Hulk run but it has a heavy coating of early 00s sleaze all over it that makes it kind of gross and embarrassing now. Why is *Absorbing Man* gleefully committing mass murder, including kids??

I finished the PAD ‘03 Hulk novelization. Arguably prose eliminates the only thing anyone cares about from the movie (the comic-style visuals) but PAD really gets to spend time in the Ross’ heads in a way he didn’t in the comics. Also I’m going to track down this official movie magazine.
