So, so instructive to compare media response to Afghanistan withdrawal -- months of hysterical garment-rending & catastrophizing, relentless criticism of the admin -- with the response to an unprovoked, unmotivated, illegal war of aggression, ie, "some critics say maybe Trump should have reasons."

I mean durian is the easy winner, just an unholy flavor and texture. Other than that, I’d nominate grapefruit. Just a weird flavor I’ve never enjoyed, and on top of that, it can interact with medications if you’re not careful.

It’s really lame that WA state can’t get its act together and gerrymander the GOP seats in the state. You’re just surrendering the midterms to MAGA for no reason. People are being killed in American streets, families are being broken up. What does it take, if not that?

It’s a very sharp double edged sword. Prompt with precise asks and the outputs will help you. Prompt with slop, you get slop out. There’s potential time savings, but there’s a lot of human work in understanding what you just did with the generative text spitter-outer

Our grasp on reality is slipping. The response rate to the survey behind the unemployment rate (and the rest of the household survey) is now lower than during the pandemic. The decline in response rates during the first year of the Trump Admin 2.0 was larger than at any time outside the pandemic.
