I spent the morning at a rally for striking CMRJB Workers United union tannery workers at Twin City Tanning in South St Paul. They are fighting for better wages and working conditions. Many of these workers have been there over 20 years and are still barely making 20 dollars an hour.

The DFL giving into conservative monied interests and Republican leaning "Democrats' by deciding to revoke @omarfatehmn.com Minneapolis DFL endorsement for Mayor will have long term consequences for the party. If we do not do well next year this will be a significant reason.

Commemorating the 91st anniversary of the 1934 Minneapolis Teamsters strike. The strike made Minneapolis a union town. Never forget that the rights you enjoy as workers has literally come at the lives of those who came before us. Workers of the world unite we have nothing to lose but our chains.

Saw a doctor today. The fracture in my shoulder has healed. it could be a long time before my arm has recovered completely from the injury. And recovery could mean my arm being at only 80 percent of where it was before the injury. The lesson is don't get hit by a car.

Cities are great. I was in Mears Park for Jazz Fest. A guy who I assume is unhoused was sitting next to me having the best time. He pulled a bottle of whiskey out and offered me a slug. I politely turned him down.
