Left work to discover I had a puncture. My workplace is not close to any people and I’m always the last to leave. Didn’t feel safe trying to fix it so walked to the main road to catch a bus. The service in Norwich is shite! Having to wait in the cold with no shelter for over 20 minutes, if I’m lucky

My partner rode my bike ahead of me last night so I was able to see the brake light function in my SeeMe300. I’m so glad I have it. I worry when I need to turn at the bottom of a hill but can’t signal because I need both hands to brake. Drivers who are right up my arse can see that I’m slowing down.

Was enjoying a nice, quiet train journey. Then a gaggle of middle-aged women got on and sat on our table. Why do people have to talk so loudly about themselves? It’s utterly tedious to all around them. Thank god for noise cancelling headphones - they are *almost* working.

So much of our infrastructure, planning, environmental, and road safety measures seem to be based around politicians' fear of slightly inconveniencing easily-angered motorists. Pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport users are barely considered in their calculations.

I cycle in a way to maximise my safety, not the convenience of motorists. If motorists try to intimidate me into changing this I will assume they are an arsehole and THEN I will cycle in a way that may inconvenience them.

Anyone committing any driving offence should have their licence removed immediately and be forced to take a theory test before its given back. They're obviously not familiar with the law or the rules of the Highway Code so need to be reminded.

Rain falling on leaves is a much nicer sound than rain falling on water or concrete.

Language matters. Asylum seekers live in appalling conditions but the buildings are described as "hotels". Members of the Royal family live a life of luxury and privilege but their homes are often called "cottage" or "lodge". Why not just describe things accurately?

Looking out the window at work and seeing the steady stream of cars containing one person who will run around the park for 30-45 mins, then drive home again. I’m afraid I just don’t get it.

My colleague arrived 10 minutes late for her midday shift, apparently because of traffic and then had to drive around for a parking space. She lives on my route to work - about 2 miles closer. She’s also on a direct bus route. She gets no sympathy from me!

During covid with minimal traffic I could cycle to work in 22 minutes. Today it took me 30 as I was continually stuck behind single occupancy cars. It’s not cyclists who hold motorists up - it’s motorists.
