If you know me, you know that I don't stand for made up food rules, gatekeeping, the idea that cultures can't change etc. All that said: queueing at a traditional pub is an obscenity, and an erosion of a genuine, unique cultural tradition up with which we should not put.

Y’all know how I love to pull the proverbial etiquette socks up in anticipation of given situation, so being asked to contribute to this had me rubbing my hands together with glee 😁🍻 Read on for what to do and not to do when visiting the pub - and break these rules at your peril!

This is a fun piece! It got me thinking that one thing I actually enjoy seeing much less of outside of the UK is the rounds system. While it’s a lovely thing in theory, I’ve found that without it, it’s much easier to choose precisely what and how much to drink, and when to leave.
