One of Lowell Green’s moves was to tell his listeners to bombard certain targets with phone calls. Mostly city councillors, sometimes other levels of government, occasionally others. Once in a while it was the Citizen—he’d urge people to call and demand why X or Y story wasn’t on the front page.

MEMO: OC Transpo has identified a new issue on O-Train Line 1 involving cartridge bearing assemblies (CBAs), where “spalling” (metal flaking inside bearings) has been detected on some trains. As a result, trains with over 100,000 km on these parts are being pulled from service for replacement. (1/3)
