Workers replacing lights along the Rideau Canal paths have finished up by putting in new soil and sod where they’ve dug up trenches. Here, they’ve done it on a slope next to a deep depression where the path itself is failing. It fills, wall to wall, with maybe two inches of water every rain.

Pretty interesting timing for this award, with Lansdowne on the table again. Jim Watson's council pushed forward Lansdowne 1.0, claiming it would be revenue neutral (not true) and not having the political will to spend enough to redevelop the site properly the first time. So here we are again.
