Finished Days Gone, really fun! Has some ups and downs but overall when it's enjoyable it's very enjoyable!

We require the comfort and the need to believe things are going to be okay, in the face of impending doom, don't we? That's what Majora's Mask fully encapsulates for me, it's pretending to believe "everything is going to be okay" as everything falls apart, because we must. It's the right thing.

4. Strangeland I've been fond of @wadjeteyegames.bsky.social, as both a developer and publisher, for a while now. Of the ones they published, my favorite was easily Primordia by @wormwoodstudios.bsky.social and knowing they made a new game - with aesthetics as if done *for* me - was amazing news.

(Re)visited this pixel-horror quartet. They're similar but different and I love them. All great examples of how to capture time/place/mood without photorealistic graphics, treat mature subjects without feeling exploitative and provoke a sense of dread through expressive writing, music and visuals.
