My wife and I finished the last two chapters of "As Dusk Falls", after having a great time with the first four. We had a blast playing this! It's something different than watching a movie or TV show together, and my wife really likes being able to steer the story a bit 😏

"As Dusk Falls" is an interactive thriller/drama about a burglary gone wrong and two families colliding. It's about making choices in dialogue replies but also bigger decisions when there's a fork in the road. And I played it together with my wife!

I hadn't expected @meredithgran.com's "Perfect Tides: Station to Station" to be such a long game, but that's only natural with such a layered young adult story with themes that occupy those young people's minds who are in college or university and struggling with their identity and relationships.

Wow, where did this game come from?! There are still loads of good games on the horizon, but here I am wishing it was already next year!

I played the "Less Miserables" demo by @collegefungames.mastodon.gamedev.place.ap.brid.gy and it's fun. I like the way it looks and plays, the priest was funny, and Clammy is adorable; you'll see what I mean. Great artwork too. Looking forward to the rest of the game!

"Cantaloupe Chronicle" is too uneven to make the front page news, but there is some relaxing fun to be had with chasing news stories and overcoming small-town inventory obstacles.

Wishlisted! @atombraingames.bsky.social also made "Dreams in the Witch House", a roleplaying/resource management/point-and-click adventure hybrid that makes for a very challenging, occasionally frustrating but often fun balancing act. So, of course, wishlisted!

Finally escaped the castle in "A Vampyre Story" and reached the shore!

@timsheinman.bsky.social has been making deduction games for years and nobody told me! I just finished "Rivals", which is part of the Owlskip Set on Steam, where you have to figure out the chronology of events in the lives of two former band members, Luke and Josh, who have gone their own way.

Do your research. These two gorgeous people are in love with the adventure game genre. They've put their heart and soul into this game for years. They've had help from respected names in the business. There's something called pride and accomplishment handcrafting a game from scratch.
