"Cantaloupe Chronicle" is too uneven to make the front page news, but there is some relaxing fun to be had with chasing news stories and overcoming small-town inventory obstacles.

Wishlisted! @atombraingames.bsky.social also made "Dreams in the Witch House", a roleplaying/resource management/point-and-click adventure hybrid that makes for a very challenging, occasionally frustrating but often fun balancing act. So, of course, wishlisted!

@timsheinman.bsky.social has been making deduction games for years and nobody told me! I just finished "Rivals", which is part of the Owlskip Set on Steam, where you have to figure out the chronology of events in the lives of two former band members, Luke and Josh, who have gone their own way.

Do your research. These two gorgeous people are in love with the adventure game genre. They've put their heart and soul into this game for years. They've had help from respected names in the business. There's something called pride and accomplishment handcrafting a game from scratch.

"Among the Whispers: Provocation" by @kipthedev.bsky.social took the issues of its predecessor and improved on all of them to deliver a lengthy, scary and highly realistic ghost-hunting simulator with more active gameplay in solving puzzles and figuring out the spirits’ identities.

After the disaster that was the first game, my sadomasochistic side played up again and enticed me to boot up its sequel, "Les Manley in: Lost in L.A." Let's find out if this classic is just as frustrating or not...

"Earth Must Die!" is pure escapism with a very stylistic graphical design, which personally made me think of a combination of Disney’s "The Emperor’s New Groove" and Dreamworks’s "Megamind", except wrapped up in the absurd British humor of Douglas Adams. It’s not as open-ended as other narrative RPGs and lacks a believable ending, but "Rue Valley" has an appealing graphic novel aesthetic and engagingly human time-looping story that avoids becoming too repetitive or frustrating each time it resets.
