What a fitting end to our life's entertainment. Like the boxes of yore, these physical PS-relics are about to become a permanent addition to history. Who knows? In a thousand years, even they may be worth something again...

Bought a physical copy of Indiana Jones. Wasn't enough to play it. Had to download a huge chunk of it. Couldn't because of our monthly download limit. Had to take PS5 to my in-laws to download the rest of the game, which took 3 hours. There went my first evening of gaming, without actually gaming...

Sharing @zamarkand.bsky.social's upcoming game "Bon Voyage" @piratepr.com made me aware of because it looks so sweet and cool and of course because it's Belgian! Not a point 'n click adventure but a nice, casual desktop game to have running in the "below"ground while writing reviews and blogs.

If anyone is looking for a new voice actor, I've always had a fondness for Maxwell Glick, aka @mrcheezypop.bsky.social. He hasn't done that many games (Oxenfree 2; The Hand of Glory; The Wardrobe; and a bunch of HOG's) but he's also done animation, podcasts, and audio books, next to regular acting.

There’s plenty of tension and fear in preparing for your own survival before time runs out, but the very short "Cult Vacui" by @lbrty-games.bsky.social will pose little challenge to experienced adventurers. My review at @aghotspot.bsky.social pulls the hood off this time-management survival game!

I'm so totally not into RPG's, but I played the "Nighthawks" demo and absolutely adored it! I love the visuals and especially the music. I'm not sure I'd still like it when it becomes more strategic/manipulative/RPG-ish, but after what I've seen so far, that's a chance I'm willing to take!

My wife and I finished the last two chapters of "As Dusk Falls", after having a great time with the first four. We had a blast playing this! It's something different than watching a movie or TV show together, and my wife really likes being able to steer the story a bit 😏

"As Dusk Falls" is an interactive thriller/drama about a burglary gone wrong and two families colliding. It's about making choices in dialogue replies but also bigger decisions when there's a fork in the road. And I played it together with my wife!

I hadn't expected @meredithgran.com's "Perfect Tides: Station to Station" to be such a long game, but that's only natural with such a layered young adult story with themes that occupy those young people's minds who are in college or university and struggling with their identity and relationships.

Wow, where did this game come from?! There are still loads of good games on the horizon, but here I am wishing it was already next year!
