The game I plug in this week's podcast is Rosewater, an amazing point and click adventure game from @grundislav.games As I say in the show, it's a truly remarkable steampunk Western that gives me vibes of Sierra's Gold Rush! and Conquests of Camelot/the Longbow, which I consider high praise indeed!

Rosewater - A writer embarks on a ludicrous quest with a traveling showman to find treasure hidden by a super scientist - Takes place in an alternate history version of 1800's America - Chat with various people on a engaging journey - Way more voice acting than I expected, and it's all good!

Just finished Rosewater! I have to say @grundislav.games did a phenomenal job creating a story that actually felt like an adventure. The journey was stacked with lovable (and non-lovable) characters and a surprising story that spanned two countries. I guess it’s time to play Lamplight City!

Finished Lamplight City by @grundislav.games. Really good point and clicker! I'll do a full writeup over the weekend, probably, but I enjoyed this a lot. Some interesting twists on the usual format -- notably the fact you can get things very wrong and still progress.

I'm in the middle of Lamplight City right now and it's fantastic. If the phrase "steampunk Gabriel Knight" makes you tingle in your special places, then you'll definitely want to give it a go. Looking forward to trying the others also!
