During my teens and some of my 20s, I lived in a Christian Conservative neighborhood, and I'd hear shit like this *constantly*. I had to tolerate it for so many years, but I eventually lost my patience. I just want to yell "shut the fuck up!" continually at them. So, yeah, shit the fuck up, Addie!

Based on my own experience of *trying* to watch these video reviews, long-form ones are *really* hard to watch because there're so many asides and frivolous details. I want to know what the critic thought *overall*, but not *every* stray thought they had along with an overlong plot summary attached.

A frequent dismissal of this issue is accusing you of lacking an attention span, regardless of (say) explaining that the issue isn't the length but *how* the length is used. Depending on pacing and structure, a 4-hour movie can feel like 90 minutes and vice versa.

I have a ton of issues with media criticism online - less so about specific critics than trends in how their criticism is presented - but MauLer is certainly an exemplar for one of them (which particularly gets on my nerves): confusing verbosity and length with profundity.
