No-one of consequence.
Current read. Author has a very funny turn of phrase and some choice opinions on Bangladeshi society and politics I think (and I've barely started).

Two kangaroos have bras on. One has its forearms under it, not over. There is a koallaby, several wtf are theys, floating flags, and two other artworks have double union jacks on the flags.

Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

I miss when Twitter was truly great like the time a guy got upset at someone calling out a cricket team and started explaining how bowling worked and at the end OP was like "thanks for explaining btw I hold the world record for most career outs in cricket history"

I'm enjoying The Three-Body Problem a lot. I read very mixed reviews, and I can see where folks who disliked it are coming from. I can't do the math for theoretical physics, but I've enough of a layperson's interest to have read enough about some of these ideas. It's *ambitious*.

Googling doesn't bring up the specific monster but a classic Doctor Who episode had these faceless androids that shot lasers from the palms of their hands and they TERRIFIED me.

If Oscar can't have it I want Max to have it. Nothing against Lando (he's probably going to get it) but the behaviour of McLaren has been stomach turning. I'd also just rather Oscar be beaten by Max if he's going to be beaten. Because dude. It's MAX.

Introverts: do you ever just agree with someone to end the conversation and keep your peace because arguing feels pointless and you already know the truth, and you just want the talking to stop?

DAE remember The Mighty Boosh episode with the boxing kangaroo and that one Indigenous Australian character that says "Christ, you're thick" in the most Aussie accent you ever heard? Whenever I type that phrase on Reddit lately I am hearing that EXACT inflection in my head.

While we're on the topic I just reskeeted. It seems to me that if Australia were not just one big open air lunatic asylum with people with very obvious untreated mental health issues just wandering the street without any support or shelter...anyway yeah that.

I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk? But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession. But that's just me

Buckle up. The crowd that brought you "Fifteen is too young to transition" and "Fifteen is too young to terminate a rape baby" is about to bring you "Well, now, actually, fifteen year olds, historically, were married with children by now, so you know, it's not really pedophilia..." (Some were 13.)
