Seattle folks, go see Alexβs movie. Not only are the events depicted super prescient, but you will be forced to remember the ghosts of politicians and bureaucrats past. Hell, you may even yearn for the days of Gameworks.

my review of WTO/99. tl;dr: history repeats itself first by tragedy, then by tragedy, then by would you actually believe it more tragedy, new day same tragedy, but I think there are a lot of reasons to revisit the old tragedies

The Smitten Kitten crew is a literal inspiration. So honored to team with them on three packed out WTO/99 screenings this past weekend to raise money for their mutual aid efforts. Love you Minneapolis. We hope to bring the film back again soon.

Documentaries that only use archival footage are easily my favorite kinds and undoubtedly the toughest to make. I canβt recommend going to see WTO/99 enough. The screening at the Riverview back in February blew me away.

I know I've said this probably a dozen times, but it bears repeating: WTO/99 is *excellent* filmmaking, and an achievement of archive that will, I swear, change your mind about the past and empower you to do cool stuff in the future. If it ever plays near you, you gotta go.

This is a truly great film. If you are at all interested in the politics of protest, this will show you a lot about how we got to the disaster of militarized federal and local policing that we all have to endure to this day. More screenings are set for Minneapolis next week.

I recently got to see this archival documentary (no narration, all archival footage presented chronologically). It was wild for me to watch it. I saw art that I made in the marches. I saw Senator Tom Hayden giving an interview less than an hour before I met and encountered him that evening.
