I never realized that the expressions people use to explain negative emotions were much more physiological than figurative. There has been a literal bitter taste in my mouth that has been there all week. I literally couldn't eat anything and keep it down for days. There actually pressure in my head

Maybe I'd be better off if I just couldn't feel emotions to begin with. At least then I wouldn't be striken by anguish every time I dare unmask and be vulnerable around someone that ends up hurting me in the end. It seems like the pain doesn't make the happiness worth it in the end.

I've found that anguish has a habit of making time move slower than it should. Sometimes these days just a few minutes can feel like hours.

It's been two weeks, this is probably the first day I didn't struggle getting out of bed in the morning, nor was I flooded with negative thoughts on the way to work. Things are getting better and I feel the progress of healing.

I now understand why people are tempted to drink when they're sad. Decided against it last night but it seemed impossible to turn off the bad thoughts without some sort of chemical aid. Hopefully tonight will be better.
