How I feel reading 99% of art and media critique these days

People still haven't understood that the majority of people's values are "Anything I like is good and anything that causes me any feeling of discomfort or cringe for any reason is bad and morally reprehensible". That's all. There's no further thought in the majority of heads.

As someone with low distress tolerance due to trauma/mental illness, I want to add a really important thing: Distress tolerance is more about your reaction to distress than how the distress itself feels. The goal isn’t building comfort, it’s building space to react in an appropriate way.
