My sister is about to give birth to her third child. I‘ve asked the other two what they think the new baby should be called. The oldest (who’s 4) responded with “Slug.” The youngest (who’s about to turn 3) agreed. I also heard “Worm” as a suggestion.

Spent last weekend in Dublin for “Macbeth” followed by The GALAS where we (Roscommon Pride) won Event of the Year for 2024 - still on a high 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Back to Dublin on Wednesday for JADE (one of the best, most fun gigs I’ve been to!). Now we’re in Tramore for a few days before Venice next Sunday. Madness.

Popped out to the Museum of Modern Art after work as it was open until 8pm (only €5). Then had a lovely dinner along with some negronis and shots that cost €56 (although two shots were free as they were mistakenly poured - we didn’t say no). Warsaw continues to be an absolute gem of a city 🇵🇱

Absolutely delighted for Jeff Hiller and Hannah Einbinder - both hugely deserving winners. I hope Jeff’s win gets more people watching the incredible “Somebody Somewhere” (there’s only 21 episodes, you have no excuse!). And fair play to Hannah on her speech, a great use of her platform 🇵🇸

In a somewhat random turn of events, we are in Warsaw for the week. Will still be working, but exploring (i.e. Eating and drinking) in the evening. Spent today visiting some museums and exploring (see previous). It’s a beautiful city and one I would never have expected to visit. Glad to be here!

Just over three months since we got the keys, we’re finally living in our house (mostly because our bed didn’t arrive until a few days ago) - mad stuff. Still lots to be done, but we have all the essentials. It’s very nice to actually have our own space again.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not be having half a bottle of Prosecco this evening as planned. I instead will have one G&T. It was lovely to spend time this week with some books starting with Edmund White’s “The Loves of My Life: A Sex Memoir” - expertly written. I followed that by listening to Jeff Hiller read me his book: “Actress of a Certain Age: My Twenty Year Trail to Overnight Success” - so enjoyable and moving.

Today marks 10 years since Ireland voted and said to marriage equality. It was a tough campaign and something that never should have been up for debate. But being a small part of it is something I’ll always be proud of. We can be a wonderful country when we want to be. But there is still work to do.

Well those last few minutes were way too close for comfort. Thank fuck the audience saw how great Austria’s entry was. Delighted for JJ! Heartbroken for Erika, Miriana, and Sissal (what the fuck!?). Looking forward to seeing the full results breakdown now. Truthfully, a stronger year than I thought.

Good morning Bluesky. Yes, I am one of those slightly annoying people that reposts their own posts this morning (apologies). But I am rather proud of the fact that we managed to buy a house in Ireland in 2025 (most people can’t!). Feeling very lucky. And now to go to said house and rip up carpets!

It was a lovely evening out at the house that we bought last week (still working on moving in). Hard to believe we finally have somewhere to call our own!

Had a whirlwind of a weekend in London seeing some shows. Aaron Tveit was spectacular on Saturday night. Attended a brilliant and intimate production of “Cymbeline” yesterday. And “Fucking Men” last night was… not very good. The magic of the theatre!
