supriya was really excited for season 3 so this is a writer's room decision and i will not stand for it. there's no way they can bring samira's story to a satisfying end in the last two episodes, her story isn't done yet and it's a bad decision to cut her character this early on

I mean this with love to my White Trans sisters. The Black civil rights movement only moved forward when it was maximalist. As soon as we ever gave ground, we lost everything. The only way to advance is to PUSH on all fronts at all times. We may not win on this front, but we cannot lose it.

okay i’ll be real, i need people to stop being like “this trans sports ban isn’t going to affect any trans women, it’s going to affect mostly cis women because there’s no trans athletes…” like 1) there’s a reason for that and 2) it’s not actually about sports and yes it does affect trans women

One of the issues of the trans sports debate was the insanely disproportionate coverage by the right. Fox News would stake out middle school volleyball games and make it national news. It didn't matter if trans athletes were rare and never competed professionally, it just needed to feel like it.
