Start the morning by getting a cool boardgame in the mail, ending it with layoffs at the studio I work in. Quite the rollercoaster.

I want to re-emphasize one part of this Xbox story: Half of the 3,200 cuts are happening today and half are happening in the next 12 months. In other words, even people who survived today's layoffs will have to spend the coming year wondering if they're going to be next.

More progress on the Knight project! I found the design I liked and tried to push the proportions to something more interesting. I haven't figured out the faces and helmet yet.

As someone who kinda just freehands Adrian helmets nowadays like, I get it, okay. The brim width is uneven, it has a very slight downward curve front and back, the crest's base plate is raised at the top but not the crest itself for the ventilation holes. It's a pain in the ass.

I procrastinate a lot on my personal art because I'm not intrinsically motivated to make something for myself but I think it really stems from my anxieties. The hardest part really is picking up the pen but man once I hit that stride ideas really start popping up everywhere and everything feels okay

I tend to do a lot of underdrawing before I get to inks, so I'm practicing jumping in sooner
