One more point; part of the reason this stings more than usual is ND isn't just another 2-loss team. They lost 2 games by a combined 4 points with a true freshman QB. They've won every game since, by an average of 30ppg. Miami isn't winning a title; neither is Alabama. ND could have contended.

I'm a ND fan so I'm a little biased here but I really don't have any issue with them deciding not to participate in any stupid bowl games. And ultimately I don't have a problem with them being the 13th team in a 12-team race, it's HOW they were passed over, based on nothing but vibes.
