On this anniversary, we remember the 26 lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School thirteen years ago. The recent shootings at Brown University and in Australia are painful reminders of the work still before us, and we stand in solidarity with those communities.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, the Brown University shooting brings the number of mass shootings to 389 in the US for this year. Land of the free, right, where you're no more than 2 minutes from a shooting. "No way to prevent this," says the only nation where this regularly happens.
