Real life is so shit right now. But it’s perfectly ok to find something that helps you escape so you don’t carry that mental burden nonstop. Take a break. Read a book, grab an instrument, draw a picture, play video games. We have a responsibility to fight oppression, but it’s still ok to rest.

I ended up reading Katabasis for a few hours today. It took a bit to get into, but i’m starting to really like it so far. Not long ago I just started watching A Sign of Affection anime, and i absolutely looooove it. Yuki is so freakin’ adorable! 🥹

What’s happening in the world(more specifically, the U.S) is pure evil and chaos. I’m not sure I even have the words to describe my rage and disgust. Doing my absolute best to try to find some solace within the things I love and enjoy. Don’t forget to take moments for yourself to decompress.

My favorite part of reading is when a book gets so good you have to set it down, (finger marking the page), and just let your mind be blown for a minute before picking it back up again.

You may protect your peace from politics but please remember that is a privilege that some do not have. Speak up for your communities and those being affected by ICE and this administration in your area! Do what you can, speak up, participate locally, and don't be complacent!
