Back in February @becadreads.bsky.social sent me a promo picture for this book. It finally came out the other week, so I started it over lunch. Not sure how I'm feeling about it so far.

Finally managed to put together my anime favorites playlist on my local server. I had to pretend I was in Japan to buy a lot of it. And three songs were not available anywhere, so I had to get creative. Why don't you fuckers want my money?!

Sometimes I wake up and just say "Fuck" out loud a bunch in hopes that the day will go away. It hasn't worked yet.

Tonight I finished reading Vow of Loathing by @kmbauthor.bsky.social and really enjoyed it. Not my typical kind of book, and I was worried it was gonna be one that just wasn't for me, but I genuinely had a great time with it. Plus Kirsty is just a super cool person.

Discord is so overwhelming at times

At times I want to reply with something a little flirty, but have no idea if the connection is in a place where that would be fun and playful or just creepy. I have the hardest time telling where I stand with people.

Love when those spam replies are like "hey screamiest". Sure, the first word in my display name is definitely my first name. I was an extremely upset baby when I came out of the womb and there really was no other option but to name me that.

The work week has not started out well, but I'm going to try not to let it get me down. Big project due at the end of the month.

So I experimented last week with posting a lot more frequently than usual about whatever things were happening in life. As expected, a lot of it had low interactions. But it also felt kinda good to just do it.

Ended up watching the premieres of 14 shows yesterday from the Summer 2026 anime season. Last season I decided to wait until shows were done to watch (which I still need to do for a bunch), and have decided I hate that way of doing things. Back to watching as shows air.

Re:Zero was wild, but I wonder what the point of some of it was by the end. I guess we'll see. Not too long to wait until the next installment.

Finished up Dorohedoro season 2. I enjoyed it a lot. Can't wait for the next season. I'm glad it won't be another 6 years. On to the latest season of Re:Zero.

Got some treats in the mail today from supporting the start of Rogue Chocolate, a vegan chocolate company based out of Oregon. The founder originally did Chomp Chocolate until that business eventually closed. I'm excited to taste these.

Realizing I know exactly why this happened and it wasn't really all of the sudden. Doesn't change how sad I'm feeling though.
