Too many great moments with Robert Redford to pick just one, but I'm currently re-watching All is Lost, the shipwreck movie where he is the only character, and I'm having a hard time thinking of another 77-year-old actor (his age at the time) doing so many of those punishing stunts, *at sea*

You could trace the shape of mainstream American cinema over the past 60 years purely by watching Robert Redford films. A new presence in a dying form, the beautiful face of on-screen cynicism, through gently bloated star films to the dawn of the modern superhero.

RIP, big guy. Thanks for the nod and the smile.
