The best time to abolish ICE would have been in 2021. The next best time is if we win in 2028. At this point, any Democrat unwilling to abolish ICE must be drummed out of the primary.

I am sounding the alarm that the GOP is engaged in an all out attack voting rights and free and fair elections. Voter suppression, gerrymandering, and troops in blue cities are just some of the ways they are using to try to rig the rules to keep power in 2026 and beyond. Pay attention and act!

Police officers who publicly declare that they’ll quit if a mayoral candidate they dislike wins the election are (1) usually bluffing—sure buddy, toss away that paycheck and pension—and (2) exactly the sort of cops cities would be better off without, ones who don’t see themselves as public servants.

if we are going to have a supreme court that is as powerful as it is, i basically think justices should be forbidden from public comment on their work as well as any supplemental source of income while they are on the bench. (they should also ride circuit again but that's a bit separate.)

This is what I mean when I say, when it comes to political positions, most ppl just run on vibes. 100% feelings-before-facts. Japan is screaming towards a population crash at 1,000 MPH, it's not reversible at this point. But you have political parties agitating to return to hermit kingdom status.

If Dems win in 2026, we need hearings to publicize the abuses by federal law enforcement. Then pass a bill creating a path to sue for those abuses. Trump will veto it. Let him. Let the public see these videos & hear from victims, & then learn there's no way to hold the abusive officers accountable.

There are any number of legitimate reasons to use the passive voice, including not knowing who did the action you’re describing, or the whom is more interesting/germane than the who. Exonerating the Gestapo is not one of those legitimate reasons.

Civil disobedience and “good trouble” are about intentionally violating unjust laws. To defeat Project 2025, thousands of white Americans would need to actually break unjust laws and welcome arrest and prosecution. Trump’s unconstitutional declaration about flag-burning strikes me as an opportunity.
