In the north wall of the chancel of St. Edith's Church, Eaton Under Heywood is a 14th-century wooden effigy tomb. There are only a handful of examples of such in Shropshire (perhaps as few as three), and they are rare across the country. It is not clear who the effigy depicts, but he was a civilian.
