Here's the horseshoe crab back in the shallow water. There was a early morning bird walk passing by and they were all excited to see it too and wished it well. 😁 🦑

I saw the coolest thing this morning. I picked up a horseshoe crab thinking it was just a molted shell but check it out! I wasn't sure if it were up there to mate or molt but with the sun coming up I just placed it in the shallows. We had a 7' tide last night so more likely, it was stranded. 💙🦑

I came across this Oystercatcher nest earlier today. Look how the eggs just blend into their surroundings. I only saw it because a parent was sitting on the nest as I passed by. I've got to be extra careful where I walk during the nesting season. 🐣🦉

I saw my first coyote last weekend. I apologize for the video quality as it was 3 a.m. in a dimly lit area and we were following it in our car. Coyotes aren't native to this area and I believe were introduced to our state back in the 1970s.

This cute little flower is a Southern Dewberry and eventually will produce little berries similar to blackberries. They like to trail across the ground instead of on a vine like blackberries. The squirrels and raccoons will be enjoying some sweet snacks in a few weeks. 🌱
