Devastating for scientists and their research, and everyone who benefits from that research. I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.

The problem *is* the context. Anyone can accidentally put their arm up in a weird way but if you spend your days amplifying hate and replatforming white supremacists and your evenings funding far right political parties in Germany, people might start to see that gesture as part of a pattern.

A lawyer refused to follow my lead in a Trademark Infringement case, so I used chatGPT to write the response. The chatGPT letter won the case. I was right. The lawyer was wrong. I used chatGPT to prove it. Yes, a it's good tool. I used it because I had no idea how to write the legal response.

Hear me out. A friend used AI to write an email to a client about unsatisfactory terms. In this instance, I think AI is a great tool. Sometimes editing something is easier than starting from scratch. I can see this leading to better business outcomes for freelancers forced to do ALL the jobs.

Ok Tokyo! Preschool is already subsidized for all children 3yo+. But subsidizing daycare for ALL children regardless of circumstances would be huge! And a 4 day work week would also go a very long way for new parents who need to work and want to be with their kids.
