16 months ago I caught COVID. It wasn't the "die gasping" version: there were no obvious symptoms. I was just very tired. And then I realized I couldn't remember anything for about two weeks. And I tested. I had COVID. I hadn't done anything socially unmasked for two weeks. I knew the date.

I'm barraged by texts/emails from ACA/ healthcare.gov, and wondering how much is desperate hope that people who haven't needed to draw on it will stay in even as costs skyrocket (so our taxes can be diverted into the pockets of billionaires) And how much is just trying to maintain my safety net.
