Many of you have heard that my editor Sean McDonald will no longer be working at Farrar, Straus and Giroux. I wrote a little bit about my feelings at the end of an era.

I agree 100% with Maris here, I don’t feel a personal connection to many imprints but I really believed in what Sean and his team were doing at MCD and this feels like a repudiation of a lot of the parts of publishing I care about

I'm sure there will be no long-term consequences to all of us veering between hypervigilance over potential nuclear war and trying to go to work because none of us can afford to pay our bills and may still be trying to recover from health consequences from the pandemic we're pretending didn't happen
