My understanding is the feds are reviewing national wildlife refuges to determine if some are no longer needed or no longer fulfill their mandate. The shooting range experience led an amazing scene today. I always recommend doing the thing you want to write about, if it won't put you in harm's way, rather than making it up because the details *are* narrative, change scenes plus characterization. Even proximate or surrogate experience can work.

I FINISHED ANNIHILATION ✨ it's so incredibly good, it scratches my brain so perfectly and the end leaves you feeling heavy but with this curiosity you see reflected in the biologist throughout the entire journey - in a way the book assimilates you, too, into the world of area x

I have thought deeply about what I am going to write and am so in the character's headspace and so ready to write it, and have little notes and scene fragments as anchors, that it is painful not to write because *it is time*. Plus very close to final in terms of prose. Some sequencing might change.
