People sometimes claim that experimental music is hard to relate to, but that's bullshit. Who hasn't sat in a room? You never thought it was gonna rain?

New Focus has released my album of Pier Francesco Valentini's "Canone nel Nodo de Salamone" from 1631. It's a canon for potentially infinite voices. This album is a version for 1024, recorded by myself and some of my most treasured collaborators.

As part of my series of hour-long performances that consist of a single tone, I set up a service where if you call (858) 346-5851, you can hear an hour-long audio file that contains a tone only during the last second, after which it will hang up.

My 55th Milton Babbitt recording is now up: Mehr "Du". The incredible Elisa Sutherland sings this collection of 4 short songs (played attacca), along with Aleck Karis on the piano and myself playing viola.

My 54th Milton Babbitt recording: Reflections (for piano and tape), performed by the amazing Aleck Karis. The tape part had massive amounts of... let's call it "independent rubato" between the 4 channels, so I edited it last year to tighten up the rhythm.
