Would have liked to go to the Madra Salach gig last night in Cork after hearing good reviews from a Dublin show. Tried to make do with the EP and the production on it is hideous. Music sounds like it was made to soundtrack 'House Of Guinness'. A shame.

Delighted that I'm going to Supersonic this year so I can't be tempted into going to another poor Eiko Ishibashi & Jim O'Rourke gig in the NCH. The last one went straight into my top five most disappointing gigs of all time.

Writing something about the new edition of The Thing Artbook, and I've finally traced the uncredited artist for the cover of the Bantam novelisation. It's Jim Burns. Rather vague where the film is concerned but it's still the best of the novelisation covers.
