Got very close to beating the dog lad in Elden Ring Nightreign. I say 'close': I was given firm yet polite instructions on what to do every step of the way by @jaybaylis.bsky.social, who killed all of the bosses while I functioned as a distraction.

Big Brexit vibes to my favourite local cinema only showing Downton Abbey and The Roses for two solid weeks.

A solid recommendation from me. If you like: Mouthwashing, MyHouse.wad (cursed things bordering on horror with mysteries to unpick) you will like this.

Now for a normal evening of computer games.

Re. RPS freelance, I now have a budget for irregular (maybe 6-12 pieces a year) 2000-3000 wordish, more granular and specific reporting and investigative criticism that broaches a new topic or addresses a gap in knowledge regarding something familiar.

Just did a bit in Split Fiction where it became a PS2 extreme sports game for five minutes. Constantly admire the ethos of 'we're just going to do *everything*, and most of it very well' behind this game.
