A pleasent evening watching the rising tide at Peterstone, Gwent, turned a little manic in the final minutes before the mud was covered, when looking through the Redshank flock I found a Marsh Sandpiper, ooossh, County 1st!!!! Manage to relocate the bird about 45 mins later

North easterly and complete cloud cover provided our first juv Whinchat of the autumn (photo and find by @williamlambourne.bsky.social), also first juv Stonechat, 5 Tripits SW/W & 1N, 1 Yellow Wag W, 7 Goosanders SW, 1 Yellowhammer W, another calling and a few Swallows through #patchbirding

Some of my highlights from Goldcliff Lagoons this morning. Spoonbill, Wood Sandpiper, Dunlins, and a Bosprey (the light from a Buzzard), which has been very opportunistic and found a good perch. Lots of Little Egrets and Great White Egrets as well. An Osprey was sighted by others #birdingwales

It should be everywhere.
