I hadn’t been to Albufera before so over two videos this shows a little of what you might expect. I took my small FZ82 camera with a heavy tripod but stupidly left the QR plate on my P1000 so could only balance the camera for stability, which wasn’t perfect!

I was very happy to find that an American Spotted Sandpiper had been seen just over the River Severn in Chew Valley Lake. This comes after another Nearctic - the Least Sandpiper- overwintered in Steart Marshes in Bridgewater. Two birds I never thought I’d see in the U.K. within a couple of months.

It’s always nice to explore a new area and when that’s in Mallorca to see some interesting Mediterranean birds!

A fantastic 3 day birding in the south west looking for lesser spot nests happy to say I found nest number 17 this year!! A big thanks to @lesserspotnet.bsky.social and gus robin who came to image the nest showing possibly 3/4 young birds fantastic work these people are doing for the species 👏

Always something new in Goldcliff at this time of the year. The initial footage suffered from the overcast early morning conditions which brightened as the morning wore on.

Nice to catch up with the Wood warblers in my local woods.
