A lovely sunny, if freezing cold, morning at Slimbridge to kick start our birding year. Not much as far as photographic opportunities, but 54 separate species and a pair of chest bumping pintails, and a posing Rook were nice to see #UKBirding

Wrapping up our 2024 birding year on 204 species. Not as successful as the past few years and had to rely on our Majorca holiday to get us past 200 (which feels a bit of a stretch). Bird of the year was our first ever Firecrest, a bird we'd been after for years #ukbirding
