Just witnessed Chicagoans following this undercover ICE vehicle (Black pick-up truck) heading south on Ashland honking their horns incessantly and alerting everyone that ICE was coming.

ICYMI: This morning, while @govpritzker.illinois.gov was preaching holy fire against federal immigration agents on social media, IL state police joined feds in arresting protestors at the Broadview ICE facility. Also: agents set off tear gas a busy Chicago street, and handcuff a Chicago Alder.

Who knew? Oh, wait, anyone paying attention did.

"Indiscriminate violence" describes the lawlessness of the agents. Geneva convention and rules of engagement shouldn't even be a discussion in a peaceful society. The warzone is manufactured by one side.

While this is happening, reports of ICE sightings around outskirts of the city + near burbs are rolling in. We aren't seeing many of their snatch vehicles here yet, and folks report detainees were moved out very early morning. Suspect agents modified their activity today in response to the demo.

Four masked agents enter the facility; there's a fired up crowd of about a hundred people here. They immediately move in to heckle and shame them.

Broadview PD along with an officer from Maywood here. Last week, they ripped tents away from protesters who tried to set up camp in the facility driveway to halt vehicles.

(The man here shouting "love your country!" is not with anti deportation protesters, obviously. He's a correctional officer from Plano, IL who has been trying to agitate protesters and press since last weekend.)

Happening now: it's a tense scene at the Broadview ICE processing facility outside Chicago this morning where a large protest is planned. ICE operations continue to ramp up across the city and burbs. Ten Chicago SRT agents out here with pepper ball dispensers, one long gun.

Sizable crowd is still here despite dispersal order. Lots of press still on scene as well.

Feds just gave the protestors the order to disperse, saying those who refuse may be subject to arrest. Announcement also warns of "chemical munitions" being used.

That's something - a masked federal agent just came out onto the facility's roof, apparently photographing or videotaping the crowd with a smartphone
