anyway i think the proper takeaway here is that a bare majority of the court thinks the plain words of the 14th amendment mean what they say, that four members believe there is a secret hidden meaning only recently discovered by hack lawyers

It's such a *clear* equal protection violation to me, if for no other reason that trans *men* are not subjected to the same restrictions, only trans women. But, since the court already decided that the constitution doesn't apply to trans women, I can't be surprised.
