Looks really similar to the playbook IL authorities have used to quell disruptive protests at the ICE facility in Broadview. Never seen IL State Police at Broadview use horses, though.

on top of the labor exploitation and abuses of GEO Group, NJ already wasn’t enforcing its laws at Delaney. it’s illegal in NJ for ICE or cops to be masked. both are (and have been all week) in droves. things tn escalated with police presence. horses, riot gear, arrests, ICE still operating

seeing reports confirming this consistently including through active livestreams. some coverage made it sound like state cops taking over for ICE in the streets meant peace / at least less violence; it just means their strategy + repression is more organized than ICE’s slate of untrained agents.

Confirming use of teargas. FIRST use of teargas at Delaney Hall since this strike began.

State troopers have reportedly deployed teargas as ICE agents shoot pepper bullets at the crowd. Working to confirm those details—lots of mace has been mistaken for teargas before.

NJSP has threatened mass arrests for anyone who doesn’t leave outside Delaney Hall, while also setting up barricades to further impede access. They are preventing people from being able to protest. Over a hundred of them in riot gear now moving in, per a photographer on the ground.

“Several” is doing a lot of work here. TWELVE. Noem bought 12 planes! Two of those sales continued under Markwayne. DHS paid way more than market value for at least seven of those planes, per a source at Avelo (see link next post). We won’t recoup those public funds even if we offload them now.
