Stop 8 is Worldly Cat Garfield, outside the library in Van Buren. Fun Fact: Weaver Popcorn hq is across the street, the largest bulk popcorn producer in the world!

On the other hand, posting about travel on social media in 2026 seems like an exercise in futility, particularly while sporting a spam label. 😑

Idea for 2026 New Mexico travel messaging... There are lots of free/cheap things to see & do, in pretty/peaceful environments, often with no cell phone signal, power lines, or humans. International travel is toast + domestic travel declines dramatically if we are broke & society is a hot mess.

Captain Mark Kelly earned his rank. Now his decades of service are being attacked by a drunk and a draft dodger. All because he reminded our military to stay true to their oath, his right as both a veteran and an American.

It’s been 5 years since over 140 Capitol police were violently assaulted by Trump’s mob. Republicans dismissed it as political discourse. The assailants were all pardoned by Trump. Many of them went on to commit more crimes. It will remain one of the most shameful days in American history.
