My countdown to Christmas continues with my favorite holiday adventures! This is from the world famous Selfridges department store in London! Fun fact: this is the very store from Love Actually, where Rowan Atkinson's jewelry department clerk took to long to gift wrap the necklace.

Last December I visited the Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo. It was such a cool evening! So many lights! So many animals! If you Google best zoo lights in the USA, Cincinnati's always ranks at or near the top. Let me just say, this stuffed cow was not disappointed!

It’s my countdown to Christmas with my favorite holiday adventures! Today I am sharing my trip to the Christkindlmarket in Chicago from 2023. These European style markets are famous for their spiced hot wine, schnitzel, and wonderful gifts. Chicago’s market originated in 1996.

I'm in the big chair, does that mean I'm in charge? My Christmas countdown continues tonight with my 2023 visit to Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, MI which is the largest Christmas store in the world. The building is 7.35 acres in size with landscaped grounds covering 27 acres!

Starting today, I am counting down the days until Christmas with some of my favorite holiday adventures! I'm really tiny in this photo - you may have to squint! This is from 2023 in Paris France at the The La Défense Christmas Market. This market dates to 1995 and sees 1.5 million visitors a year.

In case you were wondering what color the sand is at White Sands National Park in New Mexico, all you have to do is look behind me! Or, at the name of the park. I visited in 2024 and found it to be quite beautiful!

I've only been to Jamaica once, this picture is from my 2003 visit to Ocho Rios. My thoughts are with this Caribbean island as Hurricane Melissa, one of the most powerful storms ever recorded in the Atlantic, hit southwestern Jamaica on October 28th.

Did you know that McDonald's is selling a Grinch adult Happy Meal?? You get Grinch socks as your "toy"! Speaking of, last year I visited the Dayton Art Institute in Dayton, OH and they had a display of original cells from when they made the cartoon. So cool!

It's not even winter yet and I'm already dreaming of warmer days! This is from my 2023 visit to Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan. This place is great if you like walking up steep sand hills! Seriously though, it's very beautiful and worth a visit if you've never been.

Does everyone have their holiday lights up yet? I found this nicely decorated dog house last year at Kings Island amusement park in Ohio! Woodstock is too cute!

Where are my Swifties at?? You don't have to be a Taylor Swift fan to appreciate that her Eras Tour was one of the most significant and ambitious concert tours in history. I was lucky enough to attend a show in Toronto last November - a truly magical experience!

Welcome to the last month of the year! Did your part of the world get snow over the weekend? Mine got quite a bit! This photo is from the small town of Cadillac, in the northern part of Michigan. This is supposed to be an ice tree. I think it melted a little and just looks weird, but A for effort!

This lovely picture is from 2005 when I visited the island of Barbados. I looked a lot younger 20 years ago, didn't I?? I would love to visit Barbados again, such a beautiful island.

Happy Thanksgiving! Earlier this year, I made a stop at the Berkeley Plantation along the James River. They lay claim to the site of the first Thanksgiving in 1619. Historians note that in the early days, the celebration of Thanksgiving was a religious experience, not a festival of food. Bummer.

'Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all through the house...everyone is baking or getting ready for tomorrow, right? Here in the Midwest it's freezing cold and snowing like crazy. If you are traveling, be safe! Me? I turn my mind to warmer things, such as Death Valley National Park!

This is from my visit to Little Havana in Miami, Florida in 2023. I didn't know that chickens smoke cigars. Maybe in Cuba they do? Everyone smokes cigars in Cuba so probably the chickens do too.

This is King's Square, in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. The park was named after King George III. America fought a war of independence from this guy, but here in St. John, they named this park in his honor. The nerve of some people! I was here in 2017.

This is a famous landmark just outside Detroit, MI. The Uniroyal Giant Tire was created by the United States Rubber Company for the 1964 New York World's Fair, where it functioned as a Ferris wheel. Since 1966 it has been a static display alongside Interstate 94 in Allen Park, MI. I saw it in 2023.

This is from my visit to Milwaukee, WI last March. The official name of this place is the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory. There are 2000 species housed in three giant domes. Based on the architecture, would it shock you to learn this place was constructed in the 1960's? No, probably not.

After all that humid tropical air last week, I really need the desert to dry me out! Unfortunately, I am not there - this photo from Phoenix, Arizona is from 2024. Nevertheless, I am thinking dry thoughts!

In 2015 I visited the Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve in Northern California. During the 1870s the area was set aside as a natural park to preserve 805 acres of coast redwoods. It was taken over by the state in 1934. The place is beautiful and peaceful and you should visit if you can!

I must have received my permission slip because I was finally able to visit Hogsmeade! This was actually from 2014 when I visited Universal Studios in Orlando. I love all the fake snow on the rooftops. Oh, and butterbeer. I loved the butterbeer too.

Hello from Texas (again)! I got off my cruise this morning and spent some time at the Johnson Space Center before heading to the airport. This a mockup of the space shuttle on top of the actual 747 that used to ferry them around the country when the shuttle program was active.

The final day of my cruise! I may be a traveling cow, but I’m ready to get home and put my hooves up for a bit. I got to hang out this morning with some other fake animals on board.

Hola from Cozumel, Mexico! I’m on the back of this donkey and I’ve had so much tequila I don’t know if it’s a real donkey or not. Just kidding, no tequila for me, and it’s definitely a real donkey! Tomorrow we chill out at sea and Saturday back home, if my flight isn’t on the chopping block.

The second stop of my cruise is the island of Roatan which is part of Honduras. I’m at the Carambola Chocolate Factory and yes it’s delicious! A very rainy day here so I tried to find some indoor activities and what’s better than sampling Chocolate?

I’m on a ship sailing towards Mexico at the moment but here’s another picture I took on Saturday in Houston, Texas. This is on top of The Mount at the Hermann Park Conservancy.

My adventures will continue this week on a cruise! For now I am getting settled into my cabin and looking out at the Port of Galveston. Where am I going this week? You’ll have to come back daily to find out!

More Texas adventures for me today. I am now in Houston and had to spend a fraught hour inside Truth Barbecue. As a stuffed cow I am probably supposed to be against this sort of thing, but oh my did it smell good! Today was a very confusing day!

Do you remember the Alamo? I had to refresh myself on what all went down here before I headed to San Antonio to pay a visit today. I got here early enough to pose for a picture before the crowds descended.

La Romana is a city on the Dominican Republic’s Caribbean coast and a gateway to nearby resort areas. Here I am inside Altos de Chavón, a re-created 16th-century Mediterranean village with artists' workshops. I visited in 2018. Early post today - I'm hitting the road for new adventures!

If you know you know...This picture was taken in 2021 inside a Twisters restaurant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. If you don't know, or you only kind of know, this is the filming location that doubled for the famous fictional chicken restaurant in both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Thinking of that time in 2019 I robbed the Louvre in Paris... Just kidding! I would never! I did get lost though.

This is the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH - the new class is inducted this weekend. Why Cleveland? Local disc jockey Alan Freed coined the term "rock and roll" and held the first rock concert there in 1952. I visited in 50 years later, in 2002.

Tonight is Game 7 of the World Series, winner take all! The game is currently under way at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. I caught a game there myself back in 2011! I'm not a Blue Jays fan, but tonight I am. Always have to pull for the underdogs.

Happy Halloween! Can anyone guess where I am? These are the famous "Exorcist steps" in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington DC. The steps were built in 1895 and made famous by the 1973 supernatural horror film The Exorcist. Luckily, I didn't fall, I just carefully posed. Stay safe everyone!
