Honestly Gen 10 looks the most "explorable" a Pokemon region has been in a long time and I think the idea that diving is likely coming back is what's pushing that for me. Obviously the world is more detailed but as much as I rag on Gen 3 it WAS the most interesting region to explore with dive.

Also while I'm sad we have to wait a bit for Gen 10, I think having a good time delay between what we've seen so far and when it comes out increases our chances of it being actually fucking stable at launch and that's worth the wait for me.

I like Gen 10 so far, as in it showed some nice visuals and seems like it might be worth exploring the region compared to Gen 9. The starters are goobers which I both love and hate. Also I REALLY hope they were teasing underwater exploration, too many water-based games just don't have that.

I'm not sure I like Octopath 0 so far. I think the prolonged hook is very good but everything after so far feels pretty mid. I do like some things, like missions taking place across the map rather than being completely self contained in their own offshoot of a major city.

I think I've figured out why people are making such a stink about the $20 FR/LG ports to the Switch: It's because the GBC Pokemon games were ~$10 each on 3DS. I'm not saying the $20 price point is too much for these but a standard price comparison was set for porting these old games to a new system.
