Rumor, but I would LOVE if they managed to revive Starfox properly. Just don't re-imagine Starfox 1 again. It's been remade 3 times. Yes, make a linear rail shooter with lots of weird optional paths, but let time pass. Make me curious how the characters, dynamics and planetary system has changed.

2023's start of year painting. I admit, this was cheating. 2023 was the year of the Rabbit, and Mira isn't actually a rabbit. But... I wanted to depict an important scene in the Explorer series, SO IT COUNTS!

Have this weird desire to do a compilation of all the outfits I've drawn Mira in for all my Explorer paintings. I don't have time, but the idea sounds fun.

This was my first painting of 2019. I had an image in my head of twisting roots and stone from an animated movie that never existed. This eventually kicked off the entire explorer series I've been doing since then. Mira's character was pretty undefined here.

"You're a hard one to find, you know that?!" The second piece in the Explorer series. This one I leaned more heavy on the cel-animation feel. This is where I started to cement Mira's design somewhat. The larger story started to gain momentum from here.

I've been using Snake as my art-handle my whole career. But I've noticed a funny shift where everyone just calls me Simon, and somehow, without context, it's universally understood they're talking about me. "Who made this?" "That's Simon's art" "Ah yes, of course" ????

“No... What I told you is that the path is safe, if you don’t TOUCH anything!” Finally got this explorer painting done. I've never actually shown Mira acting as a guide. Of course, it helps if they LISTEN do the guide...

"Pillow deliveries pay well, but the region is suprisingly cold and require specialty footware to not slip on the ice once you get there. At least its easy to carry..." Finished up the sketch I did. Possibly my final art of the year. Strangely, this the first time I've ever fully shaded Mira

2022's start of year animal zodiac painting: Tiger. I started off with something vague surrounding 'Water Tiger' and it ended up becoming pretty elaborate by the end. Probably the most detailed cat I've ever made.
